We are very disheartened by the events relating to (and leading up to) the tarot deck copyright infringement case with creator, Baba Studios, but we would like to explain ourselves and clear our name from this negative light. As a long-time provider of tarot-card readings, a few months ago, Oranum’s product development team decided to create a promotional deck – and launched a search for a marketing/ design agency to help them procure illustrations. Subsequently, a business deal was brokered with a third party service provider, who asserted they owned the rights to the art work, and Oranum’s team had no reason to question their legitimacy.
