Aries | Mar 21 – Apr 19 | ||
A few cosmic moves late last month have thrown the spanner into the works and have dramatically changed things up, in all instances creating what looks like pressure or tension but in all cases a real blessing in disguise. It was Mars’ departure from an adventurous part of your chart on the 28th May that has seen him return for a rare double dip visit to your financial sector, the first time he’s returned just months after leaving in nearly 80 years, returning to fire up old financial passions, while bringing an opportunity for a do over for any financial and money matters on the table earlier in the year. This in itself is not a problem, except for the fact that Mercury, held back by his own retrograde turn in your income sector over recent months is still there, putting them on a collision course. However, while financial tensions will build until peaking on the 9th/10th June this is the push that both sides need, forcing you to work with Mercury’s smart head for money and Mars’ financial passions and fighting spirit to the benefit of income and financial matters. In the meantime, while Mars retrograded back out of an adventurous part of your chart late last month Saturn is still there, putting pressure on the Sun, Venus and Mercury move through your communication sector, as they do at this time every year. Again, where there is pressure there is also an opportunity for a breakthrough and to really challenge your excuses. Having to work harder to be heard increases the potential for a communication and/or mental breakthrough. From the 18th March the spotlight will fall on home and family matters for the first time this year, making work/life balance more of a priority.
Taurus | Apr 20 – May 20 | ||
The one planet sailing blissfully through this month’s challenges is Jupiter, who after months of bearing the brunt of pressures and opportunities while in retrograde motion in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart, is coming into his own. This is going to help put things in perspective, able to see the financial and the personal and/or relationship tensions that might come to a head at times this month as the opportunities they are. In each case you’re dealing with competing opportunities rather than competing challenges, with the only issue being balance. Mars retrograded back into your relationship sector late last month for a rare double dip visit, opening the door to the past and second chances until turning direct on the 30th June and then staying on to support your relationships right through to August. Mars and your relationships will get some real help when the Sun, Mercury and Venus start returning to your communication sector from the 18th June, but earlier in the month this could present with some problems. For while the Sun left your sign and wrapped up your birthday month last month, with Mercury staying on until the 13th June this puts him on a collision course with Mars, with personal and/or relationship tensions building ahead of their opposition on the 9th/10th June. However, with the planets of passion and communication involved, as your personal and relationship needs clash a real breakthrough is possible. At the same time the Sun, in your income sector until the 21st June, Venus until the 18th June and Mercury here from the 13th June to the 30th June are here to bring new income opportunities, but the problem they face is having Saturn on the opposite side of the sky in your financial sector, creating pressure. Yet while financial tensions are likely to run high this month, especially in the early days and in the lead up to a Full Moon on the 20th June, this will keep the pressure on and the bar raised high on the income and financial fronts, with both sides benefiting as a result.
Gemini | May 21 – Jun 21 | ||
If there was just one word to describe both the challenges and the solutions this month but also what is at the core of everything, then that word is ‘balance’. Whether it’s the personal and/or relationship tensions that are likely to run high throughout your birthday month or the work tensions or demands on your time that are also likely to be felt in the first half of the month, it is all about balance, whether that be balance between your personal and relationship needs or a balance between keeping your work hat on and knowing when to pull back, in essence working smarter. With your birthday month bookended by a pair of Full Moons in your relationship sector, the first during the first full day of your birthday month on 22 May and the second on the last full day on the 20th June, but your relationships demanding your attention throughout that time, this brought up any balance issues and will continue to all month. For the second year in just three decades the Sun has returned to begin your birthday month and new solar year, which puts the spotlight on your own needs, only to find Saturn over on the other side of the sky in your relationship sector, demanding that you keep the focus on your relationships. With Saturn in retrograde motion this may even bring up old baggage, but while Mercury’s return to Gemini from the 13th June to the 30th June may exacerbate the problem, as the planet of communication he turns this into an opportunity for a real breakthrough. It is Mercury’s responsibility for any work tension earlier in the month, still in a reflective part of your chart when Mars returned to your work sector late last month to open the door to the past, second chances and untapped potential. Mercury still needs time to hear yourself think, demanding that you work smarter. With Mars in retrograde motion until the 30th June and both planets in your career sector turning retrograde this month, working smarter and pacing yourself is exactly what you need, with any tensions doing you a favour.
Cancer | Jun 22 – Jul 22 | ||
It is said that everything comes with a price and this month the price is small compared to the advantages you gain, so long as you’re aware of the currency the cosmos is using this month. That currency is time or more appropriately wise and smart use of your time. June is always a month where there is a need to go into hibernation, but while the wind is always taken out of your sails in the wind down of an old solar year, this year the air is being taken out of your sails and be warned, if you don’t slow down, take the time to hear yourself think and just push through, you could even find that the rug is pulled out from under you. What exacerbates this need this year is that this month long wind down of your old solar year is not only book ended by a pair of Full Moons in your work sector, the first on the 22nd May and the second on the 20th June, with Saturn spending the whole of 2016 in your work sector but in retrograde motion, he is demanding that you work smarter. You don’t muck around with Saturn and in this position it is not unheard of to find yourself sick or otherwise laid up, if you don’t pay attention. If you find it impossible to take your work hat off and tell yourself that simply isn’t possible, then the gods will do it for you. You already had the message delivered in no uncertain terms late last month and right through until the Sun’s return to your sign on the 21st June to begin your birthday month and new solar year there is a need to listen to your body, refuse to sweat the small stuff and remember that you’re only human. That’s the price you have to pay but what are the advantages? Not only will you find that despite spending less hours and demanding less from yourself work and career matters go quite smoothly, in the lead up to new income opportunities next month. However, the real benefit is not only a chance to recharge your batteries, but make the most of Mars’ rare and I mean very rare double dip visit to a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart, the first in nearly 80 years, where he’s holding the doors open to the past, second chances and an opportunity to make up for lost time.
Leo | Jul 23 – Aug 22 | ||
While a partnership that developed over recent months between income, work and career forces will continue this month, the tide is turning. After Jupiter’s direct turn in your income sector on the 10th May and Mercury’s direct turn in your career sector on the 23rd May both income and career matters are both moving forward, slowly at first, while the doors to the past will remain open on the work front through to September. With Mercury leaving your career sector on the 13th June there will be a push to make the most of his final days, with support between income, work and career forces coincidently peaking again during this time. Once leaving your career sector Mercury will join the Sun and Venus in your friendship sector, with the solar spotlight always on personal and professional networking and friendship building at this time of year. This year there may be some challenges, more because a time of year when the focus is always more on being a team player this year is being policed by Saturn, who demands that you also make time to make matters of the heart and all things fun, playful, romantic and creative a priority. This is going to make balancing your time between being there as a friend or team player a priority, with work/life balance also a priority this month. While income, work and career forces come together to make the most of Mercury’s final days in your career sector, with Mars having made an unexpected U turn and late last month having retrograded back into your home and family sector, home and family matters have unexpectedly come back on your radar, with an opportunity for second chances and even for a do over.
Virgo | Aug 23 – Sep 22 | ||
Don’t be surprised if those around you, whether at work, in your relationships or at home start to change, in some cases for the better and in others for the worse. But if you pay attention you’ll notice that their change seems to mirror your change. Could it be that the change is actually coming from you and that as you change others are changing the way they respond to you? There is not only a very good chance that this is the case, it is the only reason for it. When lucky Jupiter turned direct in Virgo last month your whole perspective changed and while a lot of old doors have remained open, including when it comes to matters of the heart and giving the past and unsaid words a voice, your personal view of the world is one of looking out to the future rather than looking back at the past. What is going to make or break the month is work/life balance. Get it right and everything in your life will run smoothly, from your relationships, home and family life and to your job, but get it wrong and you will be left wondering why everything is trying to make life so hard for you. The reality is they’re not and you’re the one doing that. It comes from a combination of the professional gods having just five weeks and five days to rapidly get things up to speed, just as you have Saturn over on the other side of the sky in your home and family sector, demanding that you take home and family matters seriously and refusing to let them suffer just because things are going well professionally. He’ll have no option but to rain on that parade. When you’re stressed and flustered from juggling so many balls you’re going to have a bad month, whereas the solution will turn everything around. When you’re at work you’re at work, when you’re at home you’re home and when you’re focused on your relationships you’re focused on your relationships, end of story. It’s as simple as being 100 percent focused on where you are at the time. If you’re at work worrying about your relationships or home and family matters or at home worrying about work and unable to focus on your relationships because you’re worrying about everything else, nothing works. It’s about balance and keeping just one hat on at a time.
Libra | Sep 23 – Oct 23 | ||
The reason why a lot of us are going to feel stressed and under pressure this month is all because of balance and physics. With the slower moving planets all located in a narrow band in the sky between Scorpio and Aries this means that when the faster moving planets are on the other side of the sky, they move into opposition and next minute we’re feeling pressure. This is something new, for even last month the Sun, Venus and Mercury were only in Taurus, ruler of your financial sector and only just leaving the part of the sky where the slower moving planets are located. However, in the space of just one week the faster moving planets not only moved on but the goal posts were moved with Mars, who was in Sagittarius, ruler of your communication sector retrograding back into Scorpio, ruler of your income sector on the 28th May. This came just a week after the Sun’s return to your financial sector and wham, we had our first opposition. That conflict between income and financial forces will continue all month, with the potential for financial tension, unless you understand that the only reason there is tension is because there is opportunity. Take Mars out of your income sector and there would be no financial tension and the money gods would be free to focus on your annual financial housekeeping in peace. However, with Mars retrograding back into your income sector just months after leaving for the first time since 1937, opening the door to second chances just as the doors are also opening to second chances on the work front and new opportunities on the career front from the 18th June, do you really want to tell him to go? Considering the huge opportunities he brings, a bit of financial tension is a small price to pay, especially as it is simply exposing any balance issues between money coming in and money going out, at a time when you can do something about it. At the same time work/life balance is likely to become an issue in the final 12 days of the month, but again only because new doors are opening on the career front. This month is all about balance, while working to keep the communication lines open.
Scorpio | Oct 24 – Nov 21 | ||
The solar spotlight being on financial and money matters at this time of year is a given, with the Sun always spending the first three weeks of June in your financial sector, but this is just one of a number of areas of your life where there could be some tension or pressure this month, with the other being personal and/or relationship tensions. Yet in all cases this is simply about balance and competing opportunities. For just the second time in three decades the Sun, Mercury and Venus have returned to your financial sector to perform your annual housekeeping only to find Saturn over on the other side of the sky in your income sector. It’s these oppositions that are going to create any financial tension, yet apart from exposing any issues between money coming in and money going out, at a time when you can do something about it, this will easily transform into motivation on both the income and financial fronts, with the right attitude. Any personal and/or relationship tension is likely to be contained in the first half of the month, which are where the opportunities are as well. On the 28th May Mars retrograded back into Scorpio, returning for a double dip visit just months after leaving your sign for the first time since 1937. The planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos has done a U turn and is asking to ‘let’s do it again’, giving you a chance to revisit old passions and the things that excite you, with a rare opportunity to return to the things you had put on hold or thought were behind you. The problem is that held back by his own retrograde phase in your relationship sector Mercury hasn’t finished focusing on your relationships and building towards an opposition on the 9th/10th June, this could see personal and/or relationship tensions rise. Yet as your personal and relationship needs clash, with the planets of communication and passion involved this creates the potential for a real breakthrough. With Pluto, your ruling planet in retrograde motion in your communication sector there is additional support to use this as a chance to give you, your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice.
Sagittarius | Nov 22 – Dec 21
The key to identifying any problems or challenges this month is looking at the line up of opportunities and the balance issues they expose. What you have is a month of contrasts, a month where the Sun, Venus and Mercury are putting the focus on your relationships, but there is also a need to put your needs first. At the same time this is a month for extraordinary opportunities on the income, work and career fronts, but you’re likely to find that the wind has been taken out of your sails and the air from your tyres. At the same time there are new financial opportunities opening up, but resistance from old income forces who resent not only some of the attention of the money gods have taken off them and you have financial tensions rising towards the end of the month. What we have is the faster moving planets reaching a part of the heavens that puts them in opposition with the slower moving planets, who are now on the other side of the sky and this is something that only happened late last month. It was the Sun’s return to your relationship sector on the 21st May that triggered this, with a Full Moon in your sign on his first full day and a second on his last full day, on the 20th June. This is the time of year when the solar spotlight will always fall on your relationships, but this year you will find that his can’t be at the expense of your personal needs, forcing you to confront any balance issues. At the same time what really takes the wind out of your sails and the air out of your tyres is the fact that while this was an issue when Mars was in retrograde motion in your sign, it became even more of an issue when he retrograded back into a reflective part of your chart late last month. This is forcing you to work smarter and to pace yourself, yet the surprising thing is that as you do you’ll find that you accomplish more. Financially, within your own needs and your relationship needs, professionally and through everything that occupies your time and energy, this month is all about pacing and balance.
Capricorn | Dec 22 – Jan 19
In a month when the professional gods finally show up there is likely to be some resistance, which might not make sense or present as bad timing now, but in the second half of the year will turn into a blessing in disguise. From the moment the Sun returned to your work sector on the 21st May he’s been under pressure, first from a Full Moon in a reflective, intuitive and imaginative part of your chart during his first full day, from an opposition with Mars in the preceding days and right through until he leaves your work sector on the 21st June. Watching from the other side of the sky is Saturn, who in the same reflective, intuitive and imaginative part of your chart is demanding that you pace yourself and work smarter, taking the wind out of your sails and air out of your tyres if you don’t. That pressure is going to be there all month, but the degree will depend on how much you respect it. Get it from the get go and choose to work smarter and you’ll hardly notice it, but choose to work yourself into the ground and you may find the rug pulled out from under you. Considering there will only be planetary activity in your work sector from the 21st May to the 30th June, just five weeks and five days, it might seem like bad timing to have your wings clipped in this way. Except, the timing couldn’t be better. On the 9th September lucky Jupiter returns to your career sector for your biggest, most expansive professional year in over a decade, a period that will take until October 2017 to play out and those very skills you’re acquiring this month and the means to work smarter will become pure gold in a few months’ time. The universe knows what’s around the corner, which is part of the reason why there is also an opportunity and even a demand from playful and adventurous forces to also find a balance between work and play while you can. As the month progresses and especially from the 18th June when the spotlight begins to fall on your relationships, a balance between your personal and relationship needs will also become a priority.
Aquarius | Jan 20 – Feb 18 | ||
If you’ve ever been in a situation or you have the benefit of living in a family with a lot of large personalities you will know that things can get heated, loud and seemingly chaotic, but also thrilling and exciting and that’s exactly what is happening in the skies this month, with a lot of larger than life personalities not only in play but in competition with each other, having to shout in order to be heard. This sets the scene for some tensions and pressures, but in every instance there are opportunities. One of those areas is work/life balance tension or pressure, with Mars’ retrograde turn to your career sector late last month creating huge opportunities and a rare opportunity for a do over, opening the door to the past, second chances and untapped potential on the career front just as the doors are also opening to second chances on the income front and new doors are due to open on the work front from the 18th June. There is no doubt Mars’ unexpected return to your career sector is an opportunity and is potentially game changing, however expect a protest from Mercury, who until the 13th June is still wrapping up his exceptionally long visit to your home and family sector. It’s the build up to Mercury and Mars’ opposition on the 9th/10th June that will see work/life balance build in the early part of the month, but then dissipate when Mercury leaves on the 13th June. At the same time, moving into the month with the Sun and Venus in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart and Mercury’s position here from the 13th June, this has finally broken the romantic drought and at last this creates an opportunity for find a balance between work and play. Unfortunately this is just when you’re experiencing a professional comeback, not to mention life’s other demands. Expect life to present all the reasons why you can’t make matters of the heart and all things fun, playful, romantic and creative a priority, but also for there to be a fight back. The biggest problem this month is that there are just too many opportunities, with smart time management and working smarter a must.
Pisces | Feb 19 – Mar 20 | ||
The areas of your life that have until now been a challenge are likely to become your rock this month, namely your relationships. With Jupiter in his first full month in direct motion in your relationship sector you were always going to enjoy the benefits of a turnaround, but with Mercury staying on in your communication sector until the 13th June and support for friendship and relationship building remaining strong all month, this is the one area of your life that is not only going right but can act as a rudder for the rest of your life. The one proviso is that the communication lines are open, for that’s what everything hinges on, along with a commitment to maintaining a balance between your personal and relationship needs, seeing both as equally important. Your biggest problem this month is that too many good things are happening and that is going to create some balance issues, which are being compounded by some very real work/life balance challenges. While Saturn is staying on in your career sector to keep the professional wheels turning, with Mars having retrograded back into an adventurous part of your chart late last month and the Sun, Venus and Mercury all one by one returning to a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart from the 18th June, life can no longer be all work and no play. However, even before you can get to that point there are more fundamental work/life balance issues to be addressed and they’re likely to be evident from the get go. It all began with the Sun’s return to your home and family sector on the 21st May, not only during Mars’ final days in your career sector but just as a Full Moon there was pushing professional matters. While Mars retrograded back out and that took some of the focus off your professional game as the Sun, Venus and from the 13th June Mercury move through your home and family sector, this puts the focus on home and family matters. Saturn might be on the other side of the home and he may try and bully the domestic gods into thinking his mandate is more important, with just five weeks and five days to give home and family matters your attention, but they’re going to fight back. With income, work and career matters coming together next month, the more you can address work/life balance issues this month the more you’ll benefit next month. |
